Centralia School District 

PROGRAM PURPOSE: Centralia School District is proud to sponsor youth basketball servicing our elementary schools and students. The goal of this program is to provide a positive environment emphasizing skill and character development, teach basketball fundamentals, and HAVE FUN at a minimal cost to families residing within our service district.

PROGRAM FEE: $40 –

PLACE: Practices will be held at local Centralia School District elementary schools.

PRACTICES:
**Girls will practice tentatively on Mondays and Thursdays. 5th and 6th graders practice right after school. An exact time will be given by coaches once rosters are final. 3rd and 4th graders practice 5:30pm-6:30pm.

**Boys will practice tentatively on Tuesdays and Fridays. 5th and 6th graders practice right after school. An exact time will be given by coaches once rosters are final. 3rd and 4th graders practice 5:30pm-6:30pm.

GAMES: 5th & 6th grade leagues will play games on Wednesdays 4:30pm-5:30pm at the NWSports Hub 3rd & 4th grade leagues will play Saturday mornings at 10am or 11am. Location to be announced.

*Depending on registration numbers and coaches schedules, this may change.

Only participants registered and playing on the team are allowed to stay after school for practice. Coaches are not responsible for siblings during practice time.

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure prompt pick up of student’s at the end of practices and/or games. Failure to do so may result in the inability to continue participation in the program.

**First practice for all girl’s teams will be Thursday, November 2nd, 2023
**First practice for all boy’s teams will be Friday, November 3rd, 2023

END OF SEASON: Championship for 5th and 6th grade leagues will be held at Centralia High School on Saturday, December 16th, 2023. 3rd and 4th grade leagues will have a Skills Showcase during half time at the championship games. Details will be given by coaches at another time.

REGISTRATION: Registration is now 100% online! Registration Deadline is Friday, October 27th. You will need your Skyward Family Access Login information. Call your child’s school to retrieve this information.You must be a Centralia Resident and be enrolled in Centralia School District, attend a private school, or are homeschooled to qualify. Home School or Private School students will not have a skyward login. Payment will be made at CHS for non Centralia School District students between 7:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday.

The intent of this program is to include as many participants as possible, however, SPACE IS LIMITED! There will be a cap on registrations for each school due to gym availability and safety. Registrations will be on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. And your child’s spot will be held once you submit your payment. 

GENERAL INFORMATION: This program is limited to players living in the Centralia School District #401 in grades 3rd-6th grade. Little Dribblers for grades K-2 will be December 2nd! More information coming soon!

Liability Waiver:  I, the parent/legal guardian of the above named child, give my permission for the participation in any and all of the activities of the Centralia Youth Basketball program.  I realize no insurance is provided for the participant and will assume any and all risks and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities, and financial responsibility for any and all costs relating to any accident or injury that might occur while participating in the program.  I do further release, absolve, indemnify and hold harmless the Centralia School District, their agents, employees, volunteers or sponsors. In consideration of the privilege to distribute materials, the Centralia School District shall be held harmless from any cause of action filed in any court of administrative tribunal arising out of the distribution of these materials, including costs, attorney’s fees and judgments or awards. Furthermore, I give my son/daughter permissions to receive treatment of an injury in case of emergency by any physician or hospital designated by a school district official(s) unless notified otherwise in writing.
